Surprisingly Great

Halo: Battle Born is a surprisingly strong entry in the Halo universe. Instead of focusing purely on Spartans, it follows a group of teens trying to survive a Covenant invasion and it works. Cassandra Rose Clarke gives the characters real depth, and the emotional stakes feel genuine. It’s a fast, engaging to listen to and adds heart to the Halo setting. Much better than expected.
